Get to know our club president Emma!
Q1 : My passion for the game started when I was 16 years old playing in the high school. Then years later as a parent my passion increased and I found my self more and more involved. When my son began his football journey, I initially started as a canteen volunteer and then progressed to various committee positions.
Q2 :I really never played football only played for fun at school.
Q3 :I haven't coached in football but i did coach netball for a while in my daughters teams.
Q4 :I became president at this great club in 2016 and have continued to enjoy my role at South West Wanderers FC
Q5 :The most challenging aspect is making sure the club continues to operate smoothly, While maintaining the Association and parent expectation, as I strive to create a fun and nurturing family environment.
Q6 :We at South West Wanderers have 14 teams and 170 players in 2024. It's enjoyable watching the club grow each and every year.
Q7 :A successful 2024 season is watching every player walk off the field contributing and enjoying playing the game they love. South West Wanderers Football Club has also seen and increase in female participation and coaching roles which makes me proud and happy to see more females involved in this beautiful sport.
Q8 :A supportive committee, plenty of volunteers , great people and of course happy players! Without these people there wouldn't be a successful football club.
Q9 :We are at South West Wanderers Football Club follow the FFA curriculum, and focus on developing players in a nurturing environment with qualified coaches. Every player's smile is a reward to us.
Q10 :What makes me happy as President is watching players devlop into better football players. My motivation remains for our volunteers and coaches to remain a motivated unit and be recognised for their support and achievements in the development and nurturing of all our players. I appreciate all the committee and sponsors for their continued support and would like nothing more than to build further on these relationships.
